Direct Billing for Massage and Osteopathy in SW Calgary

ERA Massage & Beauty bills most insurance plans directly. You come in for your appointment, we send the claim to your insurer, and you pay only the part your plan doesn’t cover. If we can’t bill your insurer, you get a receipt to submit yourself.

How it works

1. Book online or call us
Pick a time on our booking page, or call (403) 281-8411.
2. Bring your plan details
Your insurance details. When you book, our front desk will tell you what your plan needs.
3. We send the claim
After your treatment we send the claim to your insurer.
4. You pay the rest
If there is anything left to pay, use debit, credit card, cash, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

INSURANCE

Insurance companies we bill directly

We bill almost every insurance company directly. A few work differently:

  • Canada Life. You pay at the clinic and we give you a receipt right away. You submit it through the Canada Life app or website, and they pay you back.
  • Equitable Life. You pay at the clinic, we submit the claim for you, and Equitable Life pays you back directly.

BEFORE DECEMBER 31

Use your benefits before they reset

Many workplace plans reset on January 1. If yours does, massage coverage you haven’t used by December 31 is gone. Check your plan year in your insurer’s app, then book while you still have coverage left.

Massage therapy
Most plans give you a yearly amount for massage, and some also limit how much they pay per visit.
Manual osteopathy
Many plans cover it too, and a lot of our clients don't know theirs does. Irina and Vladimir both see osteopathy clients at ERA.
Health Spending Account
If your employer gives you one, you can usually use it for massage and osteopathy as well.
Doctor's referral
Some plans ask for one before they pay for massage. Check yours before your visit.

Do you bill my insurance directly?
We bill almost every insurance company directly. Canada Life and Equitable Life work a little differently, see above.
What if my plan doesn't cover the full price?
You pay the difference at the end of your visit.
Can I use my spouse's coverage?
Yes, if you're listed on their plan. Bring the plan member's name and date of birth.
Do I need a doctor's note?
It depends on your plan. Some insurers ask for a referral before they pay for massage therapy, so check with yours first.
